Special wedding bands for Live and Arne
I had the pleasure of creating bespoke wedding rings for Live & Arne, and it has been a wonderful experience working with them. Earlier this year, Live reached out to me asking if I could make their wedding rings. She also asked if it would be possible to use stones found on their property in their wedding rings.
Initially, I was unsure if the stones would be suitable due to their softness. Live had a small collection of stones, and we thought about finding a local stone cutter in Norway to identify and cut the best ones. However, this proved challenging as the few stone cutters we found had all closed up shop.
I stumbled upon an old article about a stone cutter and member of a Norwegian Geology Society. Live discovered that there were five men with that name in Norway. She contacted them all, and though the former stone cutter had already retired, he was touched by their story and the effort we put in to find him, so he agreed to cut the gemstones.
The rings turned out beautifully, made from 18k Fairtrade gold and featuring the special stones from their homestead in Norway. I think these unique rings perfectly suit Live and Arne.
